Tudor Heritage Black Bay Black

Since 2010 and the presentation of the Tudor Heritage Chrono, the watchmaker has reinterpreted some of the key models in its history. Like the models in the Heritage line, the new Black Bay Black adopts this approach while at the same time creating a unique new model.

The aesthetic that contributed to the historic models are used for this new watch. Its overall lines and domed crystal are from the brand’s first diver’s watch, the Tudor Submariner (ref. 7922), which was launched in 1954. The imposing winding crown is a nod to a model presented in 1958, nicknamed Big Crown by collectors. Its angular hands were seen from 1969 to the early 1980s.

These references to Tudor’s visual heritage combined with design elements like the 41mm steel case with a refined finish, a colored anodized aluminum crown tube, as well as interchangeable bracelets complete this watch. This new model comes closest to the spirit of Tudor’s first dive watches replica, most obviously with the famous red triangle of the unidirectional bezel from the divers’ models of the late 1950s.

The watch is available on a brushed steel bracelet with a folding clasp or on a leather strap.
