Tissot Swiss Watches Set to Time EuroBasket 2015

As Official Timekeeper of FIBA, Tissot is now set to time the last phase of the big basketball tournament of 2015, EuroBasket, which will take place from September 5-20.

The reigning champions, France, who will be led throughout the tournament by their charismatic captain and Tissot Ambassador Tony Parker, will be able to play part of the Games on their home territory in Montpellier, France. The others will be in Zagreb, Croatia, Berlin, Germany and Riga, Latvia. If they advance to the finals, they will have the honor of defending their title in front of their home fans in the Pierre Mauroy Stadium of Lille.

The competing nations in the first group will be France, Finland, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Poland, Israel and Russia. In Berlin, the teams playing one another will be Germany, Spain, Serbia, Turkey, Italy and Island. Zagreb will welcome Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, Macedonia, Georgia and the Netherlands. The last group is composed of Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Belgium, the Czech Republic and Estonia. The quarter finals will definitely be a passionate and explosive stage of the tournament with those groups.

Many have the potential to bring on a great fight for their place at the top of the rankings. Teams that are placed between the third and the sixth place will have to fight for the last three tickets during a qualifying round that will bring together twelve teams a few weeks before the Games.
