The word rattrapante sounds complicated, but the rare complication simply means a split-second chronograph. Luminor 1950 Rattrapante 8 Days Titanio
This 47mm titanium watch is powered by Panerai’s own hand-wound mechanical P.2006/3 caliber movement with a patented system of three spring barrels that results in the eight-day power reserve, indicated in a rarely seen linear fashion on the dial. . The split seconds function operates the two overlapping and partially independent hands. The first, activated by a push button at 8 o’clock, regulates the chronograph. The second, triggered by a push button at 10 o’clock, measures partial times or a second simultaneous event while the small minute counter features a jumping hand.

1815 Rattrapante Perpetual Calendar
For this 41.9mm platinum watch the Glashütte-based manufacture utilizes caliber L101.1, a manually wound and highly decorated movement with hours, minutes, seconds, rattrapante chronograph with a minute counter and a perpetual calendar. The watch is placed on a hand-stitched black crocodile strap. Also available in a pink gold version.

U30 Tourbillon Rattrapante
This new model unites three complications, the tourbillon, fly-back double column wheel chronograph and rattrapante. The watch is powered by the manufacture Angelus A-150 caliber. The titanium 47mm case features a black coating on the case band. The design here reveals as much of the movement as possible on the dial side. An “A” is formed with the bridges to symbolize the Angelus name.

Combining the three categories of horological complications represented by short-time measurement, striking mechanisms and astronomical indications, this 44-mm titanium cased watch is driven by the in-house caliber 2885. Functions include minute repeater, perpetual calendar, split-seconds chronograph, week indication and hours and minutes.

The 43-mm watch is powered by the 69F9 caliber that combines flyback split-second chronograph with a large twin-aperture date display. The model is shown with a satin-brushed red gold case band and an alcantra strap with carbon fiber inserts. A white gold version is also available.

Four years after the launch of the Tourbillon Ottanta, this split-second chronograph is a tribute to the Sergio Ferrari designed by Pininfarina. To activate the split-second chronograph Bovet adds a rarely seen third push-piece. The 45mm shot-blasted stainless steel case features the patented Amadeo convertible system that allows the wearer to convert the watch to a pocket or desk model.
