Montblanc “Homage to Nicolas Rieussec”

Nicolas Rieussec worked his way up in French watchmaking and in 1817 became one of the official Watchmakers to the King. During his time in the Royal Furniture Depository, Rieussec tested out his invention, the Chronograph at horse races and in 1838 he was granted a patent for the invention.

Montblanc chose to honor the watchmaker with the Homage to Nicolas Rieussec chronograph, which replicates the details of the original time writer from 1821. Although it is a historical device, it uses modern technology. A new combination of materials is used on the dial, which has been exclusively developed by Montblanc: Super-LumiNova pigments are inlaid all around the hour ring.

The 41mm stainless steel case is powered by the Montblanc MB R200 movement.

The watch is a limited edition of 565 pieces.
