The Design Experience

Bringing a true Swiss experience to the FC Barcelona players, Maurice Lacroix built a custom-designed studio inside the FC Barcelona facilities where each player selected the luxury aspects of his watch. Using the base model of the Pontos S Extreme, the players were able to choose their desired case color thanks to the anodization properties of the Powerlite case—an alloy made from aluminum, magnesium, titanium, zirconium and ceramic—which is also extremely light and scratch resistant. In addition, the one-on-one design sessions offered the opportunity to tailor the finish, dial color and strap using a vast array of options. To personalize it one step further, each watch has an engraved plaque along its 43 mm case. This collaboration created 24 Maurice Lacroix Unique Players watches replica, each personalized for each FC Barcelona player and each housing the automatic movement ML112 powering the central hours and minute hands, small seconds, date and chronograph function. As the Unique Players collection is not available for purchase, Maurice Lacroix presents four models for fans of the club: the Eliros Date, Eliros Chronographe, Pontos S and the Masterpiece Squelette. The dial on each of the models reflects the club’s colors and is decorated with the FC Barcelona crest.

Swiss Roots

In 1889, Hans Gamper a Swiss native living in Spain along with a group of English and Catalan soccer fans founded FC Barcelona. Together they built a prestigious soccer club that is known today for attracting talented athletes and an incredible 300 million fans while deeply rooting themselves in Catalan culture and traditions. This winning soccer club has secured numerous trophies, including the FIFA World Cup— twice. The Maurice Lacroix partnership rekindles the Swiss roots of FC Barcelona, or Barça.
