Watch enthusiasts and Anglophiles gathered at Washington/Baltimore’s Little Treasury to meet Nick English, co-founder of Bremont Watches Replica and enjoy English ales and the classic British punch, Pimm’s Cup.
Invitees to Time Out Bremont got a first look at the new Bremont DH-88 chronometer. The limited edition watch celebrates the astonishing de Havilland DH-88 Comet, Grosvenor House, the aircraft that captured the world’s imagination with a phenomenal record-breaking flight in 1934. Fighting exhaustion and significant mechanical challenges, whilst barely stopping for over three days, two men in their pioneering British racing aircraft won the incredible air-race from England to Australia.
In addition to doing a formal presentation and sharing a film on the company and timepiece, Nick spent the evening talking with British watch enthusiasts about his and his brother’s successful efforts to bring watchmaking back to British shores. According to English, “Great Britain has a wonderful history when it comes to watchmaking and has probably been the home to more advances in horology than any other nation.”

Many of the evening’s guests came wearing their own Bremont timepieces, including current models, America’s Cup editions, and even a long sold-out Norton LE, released to commemorate one of the world’s most iconic motorcycle brands, known for its unrivalled success at the Isle of Man TT races and legendary ‘Featherbed’ frame.
