Hublot’s Jean-Francois Sberro Talks About The All Black and The Ferrari Partnership

“Hublot is the Art of Fusion.” iW sits down with the North American Managing Director Jean-Francois Sberro to discuss what’s in store for the watchmaker in 2016.

All Black

Hublot Big Bang All Black

In 2016, the All Black concept turns ten. Since 1980, Hublot has had numerous defining moments, from designing the first natural rubber strap and creating the Hublot Big Bang, to opening the doors of a second manufacture, Hublot 2.

The All Black concept occurred to the Chariman of Hublot, Jean-Claude Biver upon further inspection of what art means in the watchmaking community. The All Black is monochromatic and hyper-masculine. It disrupted the watchmaking world and established a new trend that spread throughout the luxury industry. The All Black has permeated all of the watchmaker’s collections, like the Big Bang and even the Ferrari line.

The Hublot La Ferrari All Black is a perfect example of the success and innovation at the watchmaker, with its matte-black titanium case and suspended vertical tourbillon.

Hublot is in the process of renewing the partnership with the car company for another five years because of the success of the line and its partnership as the official timekeeper.
