The Olympic Dream for DanceSport.  With competitive ballroom dancing, officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee as DanceSport continues to gain acceptance in its quest of the Olympics, first as a medal sport in the Asian Games 2010 and now the upcoming World Games 2013 in Cali, Colombia, USA Dance, the National Governing Body for DanceSport in the United States, has held its first USA Dance DanceSport Olympic Training Program this past weekend at the official United States Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, New York.

At the Olympic training center, America’s top junior and youth dancesport couples and their coaches from around the country were invited  to train during a three-day intensive program specially designed to prepare DanceSport athletes for the highest level of international competition.  USA Dance, U.S. Olympic Committee member, is the U.S. member of the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF), which is the global governing body for DanceSport and member of the International Olympic Committee.

This Inaugural training program, under the guidance of the U.S. Olympic Committee and USA Dance, was funded in part by the generous sponsorship of legendary Swiss watchmaker Ernest Borel, who is also a national sponsor of the USA Dance National DanceSport Championships and several of the National Qualifying Events throughout the year.  Since 1856, the traditional Swiss brand has been producing Swiss Made quality watches replica inspired by romanticism and passion.

Ernest Borel is also sponsor of the annual USA Dance Star Quality Awards, which are presented to championship level finalists at the National Championships who are recognized for their special star performance.  The Star Quality Awards for 2013 were judged by ABC-TV’s celebrity  judge for Dancing With The Stars, Bruno Tonioli.  In 2012, the Ernest Borel-sponsored USA Dance Star Quality Awards were judged by DWTS judge Carrie Ann Inaba, who also serves as National Celebrity Ambassador for USA Dance.
