Chanel The Mademoiselle Privé Cometé

The Mademoiselle Privé Cometé features an 18K white gold 37.5mm case set with 60 brilliant-cut diamonds, each weighing 1 carat. At the center of this watch is the dark blue dial with a sapphire crystal ring set with 12 brilliant-cut diamond indicators. Drawing on astrology and astronomy, the hours hand is visualized as a man-in-the-moon motif and the minutes hand is represented by a comet. The crown is made from an onyx cabochon, a technique where the gemstone is shaped then polished instead of cut to have a flat face. The watch is then placed on a black satin strap and an 18K white gold ardillon buckle set with 80 brilliant-cut diamonds with a .49 carat weight. The price of the watch is $37,200.
