Cartier Rotonde de Cartier Astromystérieux

The Rotonde de Cartier Astromystérieux from Cartier premiered this past January at SIHH in Switzerland. The Manufacture manual winding mechanical movement, Caliber 9462 MC, powers the 43.5 millimeter platinum case.

Placing the watch on your wrist provides a unique visual experience since the Astromystérieux complications features a mysterious central tourbillon consisting of the escapement, balance, main gear train and barrel. Each hour, the watch completes one full revolution. The movement has 408 parts including 188 ball bearings and 25 jewels.

The watch is placed on a black alligator skin strap and the price is upon request.

About Cartier
In 1926, a trunk filled with precious stones and jewelry arrived at the Cartier jewelry workshops in Paris. The Maharajah wished to have the contents reset in the Parisian style. To carry out the work he chose Louis Cartier, the quintessential Paris jeweler, whom he had met in India. The result was a unique piece comprising 2,930 diamonds with a combined weight of 962.25 carats: five magnificent Art Deco diamond-studded platinum chains adorned with seven large diamonds in a variety of cuts (from 18 to 73 carats), suspended in a mesmerizing cascade.
