Launched in 2014, the Promesse collection was designed to inspire women to hold a promise close to their heart while celebrating their unique individuality through their own timepiece, according to Baume & Mercier. Since that time, this ladies watch collection has inspired varying styles, materials and sizes, as well as mechanical or quartz movements.
This year, the new quartz Petite Promesse, measuring in at just 22mm, was introduced at SIHH. It seems a perfect fit for the brand, which was known for its lovely—and petite—ladies wristwatches, dating to the 1920s. These early designs ranged from lovely jewelry-style renditions to delicate bangles, as in the Marquise, which was introduced in the 1940s.
The fun and fashionable Petite Promesse collection is for women who like uncomplicated watches replica with a little sparkle and a lot of panache. Its mother-of-pearl dial has central hours and minutes and diamonds marking 6 and 12 o’clock. The polished steel elliptical case features diamonds in graduating sizes, either partially or completely surrounding the dial. Time-setting is done via the caseback, thus maintaining this quartz watch’s sleek shape uninterrupted by a crown.
Petite Promesse offers three variations. The first, touted as the jewelry model, has a polished steel wraparound bracelet and 22 brilliant-cut Top Wesselton diamonds partially surrounding the dial. The second model, with a bright blue leather wraparound strap, also features 22 brilliant-cut diamonds partially surrounding the dial. The third model, with an orange leather wraparound strap, is set with 44 brilliant-cut diamonds completely framing the dial. A single-wrap black strap is included with each piece.
