Baume & Mercier Capeland Shelby Cobra 1963

Earlier this week, Baume & Mercier spotlighted their successful partnership with vehicle manufacturer, Carroll Shelby, Inc. The watchmaker launched two new Capeland Shelby® Cobra 1963 watches replica at SIHH and had a party to match the theme of the timepieces.

Former Cobra driver, Allen Grant says that the car was very special (it was made of aluminum). …To have Baume and Mercier connect with Shelby is very special and to be part of this is very much an honor.

The design of the watch is a tribute to the automobile’s design with black paint, yellow detailing and number counters. And the technical precision of Baume & Mercier matches perfectly with this championship car. These chronographs are available with a black alligator strap with a rubberized yellow lining or with a black vulcanized rubber strap, both fastened by a triple folding buckle with safety catches. This second strap is made from the same material as the wheels of the race car. Each chronograph in the Capeland Shelby® Cobra collection embodies the sheer power and legendary performance of the Cobra.

Capeland Shelby Cobra 1963, (with alligator strap) $4450

Capeland Shelby Cobra 1963 Competition (with rubber band), $4550
